An unstoppable path is the course towards the cloud: according to a study by the analysts at Lünendonk & Hossenfelder, almost half (46 percent) of all companies obtain their IT from the cloud.

The paper "Market for IT Sourcing Consulting in Germany" concludes that soon every second company in Germany will "feed off" the cloud. At the same time, the proportion of IT resources that are sourced from traditional data center operations is declining. The majority of the (IT) decision-makers surveyed in the paper are sure where the journey is headed and therefore plan to shift their own IT landscape to the hybrid cloud (72 percent). Most of them do not see a long survival time for classic on-premise sourcing, which is also reflected in the figures: Only 15 percent still believe in the future viability of this model. These are the reasons for this.
