6G: THIS IS WHAT ROBOTICS, KI AND AUTONOMOUS DRIVING WILL LOOK LIKE IN THE FUTURE

5G is on many people's lips: No sooner has the 5th generation mobile communications standard been launched than researchers are faced with 6G with terahertz communication, very high data rates and integrated artificial intelligence.

Nils Weimann, Professor for Highest Frequency Devices at the University of Dortmund-Essen (UDE) explains that the use in the terahertz range has the advantage that the radiation is supposed to be harmless for humans and is therefore suitable to help, for example, in the investigation of skin cancer. Even medium-sized companies are already benefiting from the new technology.
